"VIERA Link" is a name for a new and fun world where Blu-ray Disc players, theater systems, and SD Memory Card compatible high definition camcorders network around the flat screen TV "VIERA." By simply connecting the equipment with a single HDMI cable, you can operate all the equipment with the remote control of the "VIERA," or watch the video you've taken with the SD Memory Card compatible high definition camcorder by inserting the SD Memory Card into the "VIERA." In Japan, we often see commercials about the "VIERA Link," but I wonder what people in China think about it?

So, I went to the corner where demonstrations on the "VIERA Link" were conducted, and interviewed the MC. She believes that what is most convenient about the "VIERA Link" is that you can operate all the equipment with just one remote control. She mentioned that she has a hard time handling the great number of remote controls you end up having at home. She also says that only a selected group of people in China who is well versed about AV equipment knows about the "VIERA Link." Nevertheless, her presentation is well received, and she often is asked questions about it after the show is over.

The more you know about it, the more convenient it will seem. I'm sure many people came to realize how great the "VIERA Link" is by watching her presentation.

When I asked the staff at the booth, I learned that Panasonic has created a display stand for retail outlets to exhibit the "VIERA" and other equipment in stores, and to help augment recognition for the "VIERA Link." Moreover, it also distributes SD Memory Cards storing high resolution images to be used for demonstration, to make it easier for store staff to explain the great features of the "VIERA Link" to their customers.
